looking for doc in mo. that's taking on new patient

I think my Dr. is still taking new patients he is Dr. hornbostell in sedalia my surgery is set for 5/28/03. so far I think he is a very good Dr. all the post ops that have used him tell me he is great.

Hi, Ena, I think I talked to you earlier in the chat room, but We lost touch some how. Anyway, I am from Kansas City, Missouri and I went to Truman Medical Center West for my surgery. I had Rny 4 mths. ago and saw Dr. Ali he was wonderful to me! I have also heard that Dr. Hornbostell is good too out in Sedalia, Mo. Also there is a hospital in Weston, Mo. that does the surgery too so you might want to go to the section where it says surgeons and click on your state and that will give you some names and numbers who are doing the surgery. I had my surgery on 4-10-03 at Midwest Bariatric in Wentzville, MO. My doc is Roger De la Torre, and I would highly recommend both the center and Dr. De la Torre. Though the hospital is small, I found the care to be wonderful and Dr. De la Torre helped to develop part of the gastric bypass procedure that is now most widely used, and has performed over 2000 gastric bypass operations. Once you get a packet from them, and have it completed, they take care of all the insurance business. I was approved in about 10 days after sending in my packet. Their information is on this website.
