For those of you who stayed at Sommerset in San Diego, how much was your room per

night? I keep getting different rates from different peolpe that work there. 179.00, 109.00 and 89.00 all qoutes for the same room!    — Lisa W. (posted on July 5, 2002)

I stayed at the Sommerset in February for my preop visits with the internist, shrink, and surgeon, at Pacific Bariatrics in San Diego. I hated the cramped room, the location of the parking structure, etc. Each person is different and you might like it. If I recall, they had a rate of like $75 per night if you were a Scripps Mercy Patient, but I cannot recall clearly. I just had surgery last week, and because of my prior dissatisfaction with Sommerset, I ended up staying up the road a bit at the Days Inn, Hotel Circle, which gave me a rate of $55 per day, or $65 per day for kitchenette if you tell them you are a scripps mercy patient. They also provide free airport shuttle service and free shuttle service to the hospital. I was thrilled with the rooms, the service, etc. Glad I stayed there. They gladly gave me extra pillows to prop my head, extra blankets, etc.
