I'm not from TN, so I can't answer your question specifically, but I may have an idea for you. I live in WI and I had some similar insurance problems. Here we have something called a Health Insurance Risk Sharing Program (HIRSP) that is specifically for people who have medical problems that prohibit them from getting adequate coverage. You still have to pay regualar premiums, because it's not for low income people, but if TN has something similar, it may be the way to go.
