I need a PCP in the Dallas, TX area on Aetna HMO that will refer me

Does anyone know a PCP in the Dallas, TX area on Aetna HMO that will refer me to a surgeon and even write a recommendation letter. Will be willing to try a diet. I dont have any co morbs that I know about. My BMI is 41.9.    — Michelle Y. (posted on June 25, 2001)

Hello! I am from Austin and I am currently working with the BTC (Dr. Capps) in Wylie. I have Aetna PPO and I did not have a referal from my PCP- I told him about what I was doing later and he approved. Unless Aetna is requiring it I would just contact BTC in WYlie- I called May 18th for a May 25th appointment, so I had no waiting at all. Best wishes in your journey.

My PCP (Jill Gramer) is in Saginaw, TX. She gave me a referral and she accepts all kinds of insurance. Saginaw is about 30-45 minutes from Dallas depending on what part of Dallas you live in. If your BMI is over 40 you probably don't need any co-morbids to qualify for the surgery.
