Question:
I am six months post- everything has lost inches - except

Sorry men- Woman issue here-I have lost over 100 lbs and an unknown number of inches- I am having a difficult time finding a bra that fits! my cup size has not changed. I still need a DDD but I need it in a 36. Can someone give me some ideas of places to shop- or an online shopping address that may offer a 36 DDD bra? I still have about 70 lbs to lose to get to my goal and I am soooo hoping that a good 20 of that will come from my breast!!lol. Thanks for any information you can send my way!    — lyndaleigh (posted on September 12, 2003)

I think Bali makes 36DDD. You might check. I don't know where you are located, but I buy my Bali bras at Mervyn's. Most department stores also carry Bali.

You could try a Fredricks of Hollywood... Some malls have them, and I bet they have a website! :) <br>Good Luck!

First of all, you might want to get refitted for a bra, but if you don't, the standard 'formula' is to measure your rib cage under your breasts. If the number is odd, lets say 35, you add 1" which rounds up to 36. If the number is even, like 34, you add 2", which rounds up to 36. I know, I don't get it either. Anyway, then measure around your chest at the fullest part of your breasts. Now take that number and subract the first number (36) and you 'should' have a single digit number. 1" difference is an A cup, 2" = B, 3" = C, 4" = D, 5" = DD (E), 6" = DDD (F), 7" = G, etc. Now, that you know what size you *should* be, go shopping at a better deparment store...and I don't mean Sear's or Penney's (no offense). Marshal Fields, Nordstrom and Herbergers are two in our area that I know carry these sizes...but I'm sure Macy's and Bloomies should, as well. Also, be prepared to spend $30-50....you DO get what you pay for. My favorite brand happens to be Wacoal (which usually run $40-60), but there are many other good ones out there. I wouldn't suggest ordering online as it is nice to be able to try several brands in several sizes until you find just the right, size/style for you. Good luck!

WLS patient willing to be recipient of say 5 of that 20 lbs of breast tissue. I'd be happy to be a full C. When I had more fat I filled a C pretty well but now am definitely between a B & C. Try and find a 42 or 44 B, not the easiest. I know some company just came out with inbetweens but I doubt they go above a 38 and I've got quite a ways to go to there.

Do you have Lane Bryant in a local mall? They carry larger sized clothing and perhaps they have something. I think they are online as well.
