So they don't scope your throat blindly and go through your pouch. Mine says: RNY GASTRIC BYPASS, NO NG TUBE W/O ENDOS and then ASTHMA I got the bracelet at makemethis.com, (for $5.45 icluding shipping!), tossed the cheap yucky bracelet it was on, and beaded my own. I use lobster claw clasps on each end, and I beaded quite a few different colored bracelets with beads, dragonflies, etc that way I can change it out with different outfits.

Well you need a bracelet because due to your new stomach there are some instruments that can not be used after you have had weight loss surgery.
