Question:
I am looking for a surgeon that will give me a surgery date this Spring!
I need a surgeon (in the Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia area) that can give me a surgery date this spring. I have been waiting and waiting to receive a surgery date but I am not getting anywhere. Is it time to find another surgeon? Please help me I have been waiting forever. — ann P. There isn't a lot at all on your profile page and you haven't given us
anythign to go on. Where are you in the process? Do you have approval
from your insurance company? Have you been calling the surgeon's office?
What things have you done?

Hi. I highly recommend my surgeon, Osvaldo Anez, at Fair Oaks (actually in
the 3700 building, right near the hospital). He was recommended to me by
my orthopedist, who said Anez is the only surgeon he would use. I've heard
that he has operated on many of the Nurses at Fair Oaks. If you read his
reviews on this site, you'll see very good things about him. I had my
initial appointment within 2 weeks of calling (October 27, 2002), was
approved by insurance in 3 weeks (his office submitted) and had surgery
1/15/03. <br>

Sometimes you just have to wait, there are alot of good surgeons in the
area, but there are also alot of people who want surgery. I'd focus on
finding the right doctor for you and worry about getting a a date later I
met with 2 surgeons before I waited 6 months to get a 1st appointment with
the surgeon who did my surgery ( Dr magnuson at johns hopkins) It was well
worth the wait even knowing I could have had surgery almost a year sooner
with DC surgeon

Just wanted to add that my surgeon is also fabulous. His name is Denis
Halmi and he is partnered with Osvaldo Anez listed by the previous poster.
They are both really great although their office staff could be a bit
friendlier. There is another surgeon in the same place, Dr. Roll, but I
don't know anything about him personally. Good luck, but please don't rush
into anything this big.

My sister saw her surgeon that I found from another person at the beginning
of Feb 2003 and just had her surgery today Feb. 20, 2003. It only took her
3 weeks.
His name is Victor Novak in Somerset PA. look him up in find doctors for
his phone number and address.
