I can not answer your questions because I have not had my surgery yet, but
we can talk if you like. I live near Houston. Dr. Alanis is my doctor at
Neweigh. My friend has had it done, I ask her questions all the time. Do
you have a surgery date yet, or are you waiting for approval. Please

moving to california..... so maybe we can be buds and I will be your
angel... I had my surgery in orange,tx...great surgeon recently off from
incision repair. I am still happy with my guy he has always treated me as a

I also went through Neweigh but used Dr. Ferrari. His website says he has
performed over 1000 bypass surgeries and has assisted in even more. You can
see him directly via his office or go through Neweigh. MOst of the people
that work there have had the surgery and they have a great aftercare
program - free of charge. Good luck. I am 3 weeks post op and down 18 lbs.

Rose - I live in Houston too and there is a group of us who chat on
[email protected] - there are 4 different support groups in
houston, so depending on which part of town you live in, you can attend one
of them.... Go to yahoo.groups.com and search for weight loss groups in
Houston and the four groups will pop up OK... We are a great group of
people, all of us are either post or pre-op... so you can have LOTS of
friends to talk to and ask questions!!!! I hope this helps.. if you can't

6th, 2002 with Dr. Naaman and he is WONDERFUL... I've lost 73 pounds so
far...
