Question:
Concerned about surgical staples in the body long term, and revision questions

What is going to happen after 5 years being a post op, will the staples begin to give you problems, or can you live with them intact for many years?. I would really like to hear people that had the surgery more than 5 years, to see what kind of complications from this surgery are having . Also I was reading about revisions of RNY, and they seemed to be extremely dangerous, with more percentage of deaths. Sorry for this questions, but I am waiting for approval and I guess I am wondering about long term complications. Thank's for your coments, and God Bless you all.    — Rosa M. HI, WELL I HAD A GASTIC BYPASS IN MAY 1984,STARTED TO FAIL IN 1992, I STILL HAVE A STAPLE IN MY TUMMY,ONLY WHEN YOU GET XRAY, DONE...EVERYONE IS WONDERING WHAT IS THAT. YOU DONT EVEN KNOW THEY ARE THERE,I AM HAVING A REDO, ON MAY 20,2003, CANNT WAIT...GOOD LUCK
