Question:
Am I jumping gun by visiting the Nutritionist and Psych dr before my Consult?

my appointment is not till dec 13 for the counseltation with dr pehrrson in arcadia calif....now my question is am i jumping the gun by going to the nutritionist and to the psych evaluation even before i see the doctor? i seen the nutritionist today at huntington memorial and i have a psych appointment on the 4th.    — LUVY L. I wouldn't do any test before seeing the doctor. I took the initiative to get bloodwork done before having my consult, and even though my PCP ok'd it, my insurance company charged me for "unecessary testing". Some tests also have to be completed within a certain time frame before surgery. By doing the tests too early, you may just have to do them again.

Hi luvy....cute name .........anyway, when I went to my consult I asked the doctor the same thing about scheduling a sleep study, psych eval and something else that I forget. Anyway , he said not to unless the insurance requires it. His quote was "no use paying for something you may not need". He was right. The only thing I had to have done was a psych eval. So if I were you i would just wait and see what the doctor says and what the insurance requires. Good Luck :)
