Question:
ok ladies--what happens with your breast size?

I don't really want to lose what I have. Not too well endowed.    — Kim N. (posted on December 28, 2002)

Let me start by saying that some people in my support group hardly lost anything on top. As for me, I was a 42 full C. Now I am a skimpy 36B. And those puppies are loose and pointing south! I am definitely going to get a lift. But, I would rather have these small boobies and all my lose skin and weigh 149 than go back to 340!

Well I had open RNY on March 27, 2002. I am 5'2" and a start weight of 265lbs. My chest size was a full 44DD. I am now down to 128lbs and my chest size went to a small 36C. I myself was praying that I wouldn't loose anything in the chest but like everything else on me..It went...They are perkier then before though but still smaller.

42DD to a 36 C. Droopy, yes. Breast lift, no. Good bra, helps. Good luck and God Bless!

Well, my breasts have totally decreased! I was a 44D when I was 307, then I went down to a really nice, ample 36C. I loved it! That didn't last too long, though. I lost more weight in my second year post-op (over 50 lbs) and now am a 36B (saggy at that) at 138 lbs (5'10"). I don't know what happened --- THe last 50 lbs really did them in! I mean, they look ok in a bra but they are flatter then they were before. :( All the best, Teresa

I was like a 56DDD and now am a 38DD or a 40D, so my boobs and the measurement around have shrunk DRASTICALLY. However, they are still huge and hurt my back. They are a lot more "squishy" now and I swear if they shrink much more on their own I will have sock-at-the-end-of-a-tubesock-boobs. I want a lift for sure and maybe a reduction depending on the size of them after I get done losing. 390 pounds down to 230 right now....and still losing! :)

I'm with Kimberly, went from a full 48D to a 38C myself (and I'm not at goal yet even!) Good bra does wonders but I think if I can swing a breast lift I'm goin' for it! I also feel it's a small price to pay for losing 100 pounds and gaining great health. - Anna LAP RNY 7/3/02

I have lost 200 lbs. and my breasts have gone from a 54EEE (yes, huge, I know) ... to a 42DD (still big, but not nearly as big as they used to be). I have noticed some droopiness, but have found that a good bra can do wonders, and I have no plans for plastic surgery.

before surgery i had no problem finding them now one year post op hmmmm they are no where to be found lol......just kidding but it is true that as you lose a large amount of weight you will notice a decrease in your bra size and CUP size .... it bites but its the price you pay to be thin..good luck

Hi Kim, well my "girls" as I call them went so far from a 46DD to a 38 C and they are what I call tube socks. I HATE it. And if I can do it I AM going to get them in better shape. I plan to lay on the table and sing "Lord lift us up where we belong". I wish you the best

I've lost 160 pounds and have gone from a tight 48DD to a loose 38 D. I could probably wear a 36 D but don't want to buy one just now. I have lost a lot in size but not that much in cup size.

Went from 46 DD to 38 DD. Yeah, they look like tube socks, but who cares. I'm just glad to be healthy. Next time you look in the mirror, sing the following song to yourself: Do your boobs hang low, do they wobble to and fro, can you tie them in a knot, can you tie them in a bow? Can you strap them to your shoulder with a great big boulder holder? Do your boobs hang low?!!!

I'm 2 years, 4 months out of surgery and would like to ask, "What boobs?". LOL I have none left. I was a 46 full C before surgery and now am a 36 A....and I don't come close to filling out that A cup.....my boobs just kinda puddle in the bottom of it. In fact, my bras are so padded that when I take them off and lay it on the bed, it looks like there's still a pair of boobs under there! Needless to say, I'm getting a boob job! Not just a lift, because believe it or not, I don't need one....but implants! I'm doing this at the same time as my arms lifted.

I went from a 46D to a 36D, sometimes C. Same cup size. BUT, I am going to have these babies lifted. Doc says that when I get the lift, I will go down to a C cup. The fact that I am still a D is mostly becasue of excess skin, not actual boobage.

I've lost 125lbs. I went from 40DD (only because I didn't know what came after that) to a 36C. I was a C before I got big, so I figured that was where I would end up. I'm not all that unhappy with the size, just not used to it yet.

I went from a 42D to a 34/36C. I'm really a B, but all the extra stretched out skin has to go somewhere, lol. I expect to go down some more. I, too, don't like what my breasts look like now. But, deflated and thin, is a LOT better than over-inflated and morbidly obese. My husband says that anything bigger than a mouthful is a waste anyway.....lol. (Hope I don't offend anyone!)

Breast size shrinks!! I personally can't afford to lose too much either. Our family wasn't too well endowed in that area, but overly endowed in the "derriere area" and legs. I haven't had the time to purchase any new bras, but I'm gonna need some help soon...LOL

Just had to put my two cents in... before surgery I was a nice, full, round 42D. Now, I can hardly fill a C cup (ok, so that means I'm in a "B" now). And boy do they sag now! In the words of a wise woman (yeah you Cristen) "If it wasn't for Victoria's Secret, I'd have no secret at all". : )

Well, I almost made it intact. They were the next to last thing to go (my belly was last). I started at a 46D and ended up as a 36A. Very little shape left but what the hey, isn't that what they make those padded bras for? Be sure to get your bras so that they fit well in the band or the darn things try to escape out the bottom! :P
