Question:
What is a liquid sweetener?

Hello, I have a question which I feel I should know the answer too, but I don't. I'm 5 wks post op and have been researching recipies that call for a liquid sweetener. What are liquid sweeteners that we can have? I've used powdered Equal and Splenda and love both. Thank you so much for any help you have to offer.    — Kelly S. (posted on November 5, 2003)

I've seen liquid Sweet n Low or Equal, I can't remember which one, on the shelves at the grocery store. When they come out with that in Splenda I'll be happy. But I also know there is something called liquid SugarLike that I have read is close to corn syrup. I am going to buy that for Thanksgiving so that my Dad and Grandma (both southern raised) and I can have our pecan pie which we all love so much. My Grandma is diabetic, my Dad's sugar is starting to raise and I can't eat sugar! I can't wait to try it, I hope it's close! I miss my pecan pie! You can get the Sugar Like granulated and brown sugar from Vitalady or call Mrs. Bateman's Bakery in Idaho at 800-574-6822, that is the number that I am going to call. I got it off a website so don't shoot me if it's not correct anymore, so far I haven't found a website of hers yet. Although, I did hear at one time she was on QVC. Hope that helps.

Stevia is a liquid sweetener that is natural... it is from a plant. You can get it at a health food store. It is better for you than nutrasweet or even splenda... it is totally natural. I have recipes on my profile for stevia, if you want them... Stevia is a natural, low calorie sugar substitute... google it! :~)

Liguid Sweet and Low is available at most stores. I have been using it for years. I like my tea nice and sweet and this does the trick.

Thank you so much for your help. I'm going to go back to the store and look for the sweetener. I swear I looked all over the store and I couldn't find any. I will also check out the 1-800 number. Once again thank you so much for your quick help.
