Question:
WLS BIG LOSERS... Reunion 2001
As some of you may know we are planning a WLS reunion "WLS BIG LOSERS" for Spring 2001.. I have set up a quick website about the plans and will update it weekly. Silver Dollar City opening season is April 13th so that is the first available weekend.. 13th, 14th & 15th or the third weekend 20th, 21st, & 22nd.. I will need some feed back (email me) as to which weekend is more suited for all. On the website you will see attraction and plans and lodging information. I will be contacting the local media and national for coverage during this get together.. Everyone is invited no matter the surgery type post-op or pre-op or those just deciding.. I just need to know the approx number of those that can attend to firm up some Great vacation packaging.. There will be Dinner & Show at the Dixie Stampede, Silver Dollar City Amusment Park & The Branson Belle Showboat (night cruise show & dinner) This should be great fun a terrific gab feast.. I would love to go. Of course, I have to wait and see what my school
schedule is in August, and then there is the issue of cost. Are you
planning any entertainment, Count me in if you need it. I would love to
help!!! I am 95% sure I will be there. Thanks for all of your work!

Victoria, could you let us know how much this "package" will
cost
each of us? About how far is this from northeastern Ohio? Is it in
Branson, Missouri? What does the package include? When do you have
to know by at the latest? I think this is wonderful of you to put
all your time and effort into putting this thing together for us at
AMOS. Thank you, Victoria (whether I attend or not). I will let you
know for sure later after I have more details.

Paula: Branson is in Missouri "Middle America" There is lots
to do there besides Silver Dollar City Amusement park and Music
Festivals, White Water Park, Branson Belle Showboat, So many night clubs
and variety show places, hard to name them all, Antique malls and flea
markets galore, Best fishing and camping area around.. Drive, fly,
being your RV's or tents. Plenty of time to plan and save for this
trip..Let's make this the biggest "Losers" reunion of all
time.. ;-)

Hi I am two and half hours away from branson. I am definely going to try
and make it. For those who don't know where Branson is it is about 45 to 1
hour away from Springfield, Mo. about 4 to 5 hours away from St. Louis
about 2 to 3 hours away from Kansas City, Missouri. It is very nice down
there lots of entertainment especially for those who like country music.

Count me in. I believe I have a standing time share condo available, we
went there last year and it was great. The shopping is phenomenal. My
surgery is Aug 4th, so by April' I'll be more than ready to buy some much
smaller clothes.

Victoria, sounds like it would be alot of fun-even for those of us who
don't like country music. Also, FYI, the 13th of April is Good Friday and
so the 15th would then be Easter Sunday. This might influence a decision
date. But whatever, you can't please everyone and I know that this will be
a huge undertaking on your part. I would like to come but that is too far
ahead for me to plan!!!

Fran: Most have selected the 20th, 21st and 22nd not sure if because of
tax day and Easter, however, I had to offer it.. So it looks like
that will be the date.. Keep in mind you don't have to commit to any
reservations until 30 days prior to the reunion.. So by the 15th of
March I would like some real commitments so I can reserver tickets..
For now the list is just to give the resorts, shows, and amusement
park, and idea of dates for advertisement and media preparations.Also so
I can lock in some good pricing. I hope you get to come Fran, we all
will have a great time can you imagine the stories we can all tell..
shoot be a real hoot... :-)

As my hubby is from there originally, this would be the perfect time and
place for us to go. we have wanted to get up there anyway. Count me in
for 2 people. Please give us a rough idea of how much the cost will be.

Sounds like a lot of fun! Does the hotel or any of the facilities offer
any childcare? Let me know if I need to come sans preschoolers or if the
whole gang is welcome.

Here's an idea - let's get some tee-shirts made up for the reunion!
"Big Loser" on the front, and details of the trip on the back!
Maybe someone on AMOS can find us a screenprinter to donate them or print
them at cost!
