Question:
abdominal hernia repair with a mesh guard?

I watch almost every medical show they put on TV. Within the past month or so they were doing an abdominal hernia repair using the mesh. The scar tissue forms through the mesh making for a stronger repair. (Not very technical but that's all you'll get from an armchair doctor!)

My doctor didn't use a mesh guard for my hernia repair. She said that a lot of patient was getting infection from the mesh. She just pulled my muscle together. I guess it would depend on what your doctor think is best.
