Question:
Any one had a VBG Revised to an RNY in TX?

I had a VBG done in Oct 2000 - it's useless. I have gained almost all my weight back. Aetna will cover a revision, but I need to find a Dr. who will do it. I can't seem to find one! HELP!!    — Marnie B. (posted on January 23, 2003)

My surgeon does alot of these. He thinks the bands are a "bad idea". His name is Dirk Rodriguez and he is in Palestine, Texas. About 1 hour south of Tyler. Good luck.

Hi Marnie, My name is Dori and I know that Dr. Naaman does them in Texas. He is the best in the state from all the info I could gather on him. I live in New Mexico and am a revision also, however I am using Dr. Newhoff in Arizona. Here is the Dr's phone number for you just convince them you will go to the area for follow ups this will be important or even better if you know someone there just tell them you live there.If you need any futher info just let me know I have done alot of research on who will do revisions and what the risks are. 713-468-2449 I hope this will help Dori in NM

I was revised from VBG to RNY by Dr. Ferrari in Houston. He did both surgeries. I went thru Neweigh, but I would advise you to contact his office directly. His nurse, Blanca, is really nice and helpful. See my profile for my experience with Neweigh. His office number is 713-864-5487. Good Luck.
