Question:
Considering being a model after your WLS?

Interested in responses of those who have had the thought or offer of modeling cross their minds at some point during your journey.    — yourdivaness (posted on February 1, 2004)

I any one is looking for a thin, but sagging model, I am your woman.

I modeled years ago when I was a teenager & it was great.. Then came marriage & kids & the weight etc.. Now that I actually have a figure again I would love to model & would jump at the chance to do it if anyone offered.. The key word here is OFFERED.. LOL... Nobody should be worried about what sags or their bags because anything can be lifted, hoisted or hidden for the camera... So SMILE everyone..

To be completely honest with you...I have seriously considered it. I don't know what I'm going to look like in a year but, I've always thought about it even when I was 340 pounds. LOL, you got any connections???

I've modeled for the last 25 years on and off for plus size stores. I've done size 24 - 34. Now at size 16-18 I am in a different category - misses. It's fun but as a part time thing as a confidence builder and to earn clothing discounts etc. Few ladies earn major money. If you are considering the small sizes -- you need to be 5'10" +++ and 110-120 lbs.

I modeled for alot of things working for Hooters and I have had a few offers to do other things...But to tell you the truth I am still a little too critical of myself and I would want the pics to be perfect...I still hate the pics on my profile ...I think I look big...even though my brain says 115#s IS NOT big.

There have been a few people in recent months who have complimented me by saying that I look like a model, or I should consider modeling. I'm 5'10" and wear clothes well, and I think that's where the suggestions came from. Unless there's a modeling agency looking for a myopic, sagging nerd, I think I'll just accept people's compliments and keep my day job :)
