Hello from Connecticut!!

I`m new to Oh,,,and i just recieved my surgery date July 3rd, 2007 my name is Lucia Marie ,,,im getting RNY,,,AND IM SEEING 9 DIFFERENT SPECIALIST all this month and next,,,! I also suffer w/ Multiple Sclerosis,,,,,so live isn`t very charming theses past few years,,,and "I lost my beloved husband",,omg that was sooo untimely @48 yrs old,,,so its just me and my sweet daughter Angelene..whom i adore!! We are all we have in this world !!!!!!! Hi Lucia, I'm from Ct. also. Who is your surgeon? I am a pre-op Lap Bander. I am so sorry about your husband. How old is your daughter? I have two aged 13 and 16. My best friend has MS although she is asymptomatic. This site really is a god send...I have gained so much from it. Jen

Lucia, I'm so sorry about your husband. I lost my father at a very untimely age of 43. I know it's different, but I know the pain. It sounds like you're doing the right thing for you and your daughter. She needs you now more than ever, and with the surgery, you'll be there for her. I'm from KY, and I'm having Lapband on July 2, so I don't have any experiences you can learn from, but I do have a heart, and it goes out to you and your daughter. So sorry to hear about your hubby. I am glad your daughter has you around to be there for her, and you made the choice to get better as well. I am originally from CT, but live in CO now. Local family support is Hubby, out of town support is my younger brother but he has a family of his own so cannot support as much as I would like him too, and mom is kinda supportive, still doesn't understand why I need it and can't do it on my own. I am looking for support online and will continue to go to my groups locally. I think that we all look for support where we can get it. I support you and you can send me messages anytime
