Help! I had my blood work done a few weeks ago and doc called me and said my Vitamin D is below 4! It should be 80-100. Told me to take at least 1200 IU per day and have it checked again in a month. Some of the people at my support group told me to get dry vitamin D from Bariatric Advantage so I ordered it and it says 5000 IU but while reading online it says not to take more then 2000 IU a day?? Now what? Do I take this capsule whole? or open it and pour it on something and take the powder?? Also my weight loss has stopped big time! I have lost 120 pounds but have another 30 some to go and getting frustrated that the scale isnt moving! It's been weeks since a loss. Any advice would be appreciated! Cathy

Vitamin D can be toxic in large doses-- but you have to remember we have malabsorption issues-- and yours is obviously greater than most here, so a larger amount is probably okay. Ask your nutritionist. I take a little extra D every day in my multi and with my Citrate, but add in dry D too, for good measure (as well as Dry A and E). -S.
