Hi, I just got the results from my one year labs and I am a bit concerned. Note that I am scheduled to see my surgeon for appt on January 6th, so I will follow- up with him. My white blood count is high, Both my AST and ALT are hight and my B12 is also high. I have been experienceing some discomfort around my belly button area and am wondering if I am forming or have formed a hernia. Has anyone experienced this. Just looking for some words of experience to settle my nerves for the next couple of weeks. Thanks

High white counts can be a lot of things, most likely an infection. Probably nothing to do with your surgery, it is cold and flu season. B12 being high may mean you just need to cut back (only on dr. advice) and as far as the ast and alt I am not sure. I had problems around my belly button and it did turn out to be a hernia. Not a lot of pain, but wearing a belt would irritate me. Hope this helps
