I did, but it was hard. The first 3 days were the worst. I was on a 10 day liquid diet. The idea is to shrink your liver, but it kinda gets you ready for what's coming. Many people do cheat on it, so if you slip, don't kick yourself about it.
Pre-op instructions vary a lot. Mine doctor's requirements were lenient. However, if you didn't have your ribs today, I'd say you've run out of time. My understanding is that the all liquid diet the day before surgery is an absolute must. God bless.
