Dawn.. Dawn... Help me out here... How is 1400 calories or even 1500 calories a bad thing especially with all the movement you did?

Your resting metabolic rate can be "roughly" figured by taking your weight x10.  That is how many calories your body needs to just SURVIVE... not including activity.  You can actually (supposedly) eat more than this and still maintain.

My RMR is 1680... I know without a doubt I can eat up to 2200 cals and maintain if I am getting my protein in and not eating simple carbs... sooooooo explain!!!

I think you did rock on stellar.  You wouldn't wanna know my bad days........... :(

I think WLS patients do their metabolism an injustice accidently by eating way to low and putting themselves into starvation mode so their body gets used to 1200 or less a day and any more will gain.  I lose best at 1400ish actually... I slow down below that.  Just my thoughts ;-)

My weekend was good.  I haven't been to bed yet, had some madatory training after work, found out I was also signed up for chart audit committee at work (all b/c I complained that other nurses weren't doing all their work and that is why they are getting off on time! BAH!) and then I had a quarterly eval.  Had to go to the grocery store.. lol - life must go on.. today will be a day of missed sleep.  Makes me sorta spacey by the end of the day.  I will be hitting the pillow early!  The weekend was great otherwise LOL.  As us nurses like to say (and it isn't usually funny to the common nonmedical jo) "nobody died, all was breathing".  : X

Amazing it can still happen even postop isn't it?

Look at all the sliders tho.. u couldn't have done that on solid steak/chicken.

Hugs, hang in there sweetie.  I have done it myself, huge binge eater preop. I hate to admit it and I struggled at times postop too.

love you.
