Although, this this doesn't happen often being bruised easily could be from deficient in vitamin C.

Hi Kathy and welcome to the board. Join us on the daily roll call.

Myself and my DH are both almost 9 years out and we still bruise easily. Dave's doc said that it is because we do not have much fat under the skin to protect us from the bumps we get occasionally. I can push open the storm door with my forearm and get a bruise.

It is just a matter of being careful and the bruises will be minimal.

PS - I have bruised ever since I was a little girl and to add that both of us have our labs drawn yearly and they are fantastic so it is not always a deficiency.

Welcome to Illinois--I went to Argo HS a million years ago!

Bruising can be caused by a vitamin deficiency, so make sure you are getting regular labs drawn to check on them.
