Hello Mississippi !

Hi All - I'm from Vicksburg - had lap band surgery in Houston, TX, on Aug. 6 by Dr. Hadar Spivak. Tomorrow I'll be 4 weeks post-op and have lost 21 lbs. I'm interested in support group meetings in Jackson for bandsters. Anyone know of any and if so please give me some information on them. Since I went out of state to have my surgery - I haven't been able to find a lap band support group in my area. Hope someone can help.

Hi, Carolyn! I don't know of any lap band support groups in the whole state of MS! I was banded in Jackson by Dr. David Carroll (why'd you go out of state?), but I live in Senatobia (just south of Memphis). I joined the Yahoo! group bandsters, and they're my main source of support. Have you checked them out?
