1st Round appts booked
Happy Friday all! 
Glad to say I now have my orientation completed and have my first round of appointments booked. Nurse -Mar 31/14 & Dietician & SW - Apr 11/14. What can I expect at these appointments?

At the nurse they basically ask for all your medical history. The Dietitian asks you questions to see if you have researched this enough and know how to eat after surgery. So make sure you know how many G of sugar/fat/protein we are expected to or to not take in daily. And know the risks of surgery also.
The PATTS test they take a crap load bunch of vials of blood for screening, EKG (I think?) heart test thingy and weight. I cant remember what else we did pre-op? But that seems about right. :)

Referral sent Sept 2012 -Info Session -January 7 2013. Surgeon (Dr. Huynh-HRRH) February 5 2013. Dr. Glazer, Nurse, SW and NUT -> March 25 2013, May 1st, Surgeon, Patts-June 6. SURGERY JUNE 26 2013!! 100 lbs gone in 4 months!
Oh and to add to that, the social worker asks a scripted list of questions. Looking to see how mentally stable we are. Addictive type behaviours, drinking, eating (obviously) smoking, relationships, our support network-do we have one in place.
Tons of questions, but all to make sure your heads in the right place. Congrats on your upcoming appoints, your journey has begun. Hang on, it's an amazing ride!
