Eating out post-sleeve

I was just sleeved on Monday and i'm feeling really terrific already. No pain meds, getting a long walk in every night and getting my fluids in.

I am going to a party on Sunday for  friend moving away. It's at a restaurant that has soup so I am planning on ordering some chicken noodle soup and just sipping the broth.  I am worried about others saying "Is that ALL you're eating" or other scrutiny. I haven't told everyone what surgery I have had and I don't know anyone at this gathering well enough to launch into it either. So, any suggestions on how to field these comments or to appear more normal at the dinner table?

Tell them you're just getting over a nasty stomach bug. Since they'll be eating, they probably won't press for details about it.

Yeah. Not really feeling well or already ate something or saving room for later.
