One sounds like an Antibiotic and the other is an Acid Reducer

It sounds more like treatment for H. pylori, bacteria that causes ulcers in some people. Clarithromycin to kill bacteria, omeprazole to decrease acid production in stomach.

Those two medications alone are not adequate treatment for H. pylori infection - usually it is at least a 3 drug  regimen to get rid of this bacteria:  One of the most common combos is clarithromycin-omeprazole-AMOXICILLIN.

Actually, there is a dual therapy for H. pylori treatment of just clarithromcin and omeprazole.

It might be easiest just to call your doctor's office and verify the reason you are on these drugs.
(quick edit: decreasing the usual or higher than normal acidity in your stomach makes it easier to get rid of the bacteria, I think, and helps ulcers heal, if you have any.)

Hope this helps.
