Day 6 post op fluid intake
Don't complain! Consider it a gift from the surgical gods! I'd KILL to be in your shoes. I'm 8 months out and still have trouble getting in my water some days!

I wouldn't be worried- I am the same way! I am 2 weeks post op today and I don't have trouble with liquids! *knock on wood* I get being concerned though... I had the same thought process! In my book it said for week 1 just concentrate on getting 35 oz in and i was getting in way more- I was worried lol! I guess we should just consider ourselves lucky!
I don't mean this with any snark WHATSOEVER, but when it comes to my bougie size... Don't know, don't care. It's a tool that I am using to the best of my ability. I don't believe that an oz or so difference in capacity is going to keep me from being as successful as others with smaller sleeves :)

I never had any trouble with liquids.
And to save you the next question, no it won't stretch your sleeve.
Be thankful and use start using water judiciously. Drink as much as you like between meals. Between the sleeve, a good meal plan, and lots of water, you can shut down hunger entirely.

I had surgery the same day. My bougie size is 36 and I have had no problems getting all of my protein and fluid either. I was thinking the same as you. I had a medium size hernia repaired so I have a little discomfort as it goes down. I have no nausea or vomiting and am thankful for that.
