Thanks!

I asked my doctor what she thought the healthiest weight for someone with my height and bone structure would be. That's my goal weight. My surgeon said not to be disappointed if I don't reach it. His "goal" was for me to lose 70% of my excess weight. That is a mini-goal for me, but I know some prefer to make that their goal (and maybe try for more later).

Temporarily holding on losing more because I'm gaining!  Pregnant with my first baby (a boy!) due June 2013, after two rounds of IVF.  SO GRATEFUL!

I'm lower than what my surgeon's goal weight.  When I finally get rid of my excess skin,  that's where I want to stay.  I'll be in the upper ranges for my height, age, and bone structure.  (my goal is 130 with the max of 132 for my weight etc.)

As a menopausal 52 year old woman, I set my goal weight at the top of my Weigh****cher's range (so, 155 for me).

I am still losing 1/2 to 1 pound per week --- and am really aiming to get to about 145 and then work hard at maintaining

I never went by weight. I went by my health status and to some degree by my clothing size.

My surgeon and I set my original goal at the top of the Normal BMI range.  When I got there, I set a personal goal of 135.  I'm at 129 now and am working on getting down to 125.  Such a nice round number!  Not sure how much I will lose with my planned TT and lift but I would be ecstatic to end up around 120-122.

Thats always puzzled me, Im 5'7... My surgeon said 188, I was 185... for few weeks and was elated!!

My Cardiologist wanted me to be 150!!!

Im 210, now... Ive decided to just push for 175 and pray I dont look skeletal!!

But healthwise I feel great!!!

On my OH tracker, I set a goal weight 100 lbs below surgery weight.  But I think that's probably optimistic (and thought so when I set it).  I would like to be within a normal BMI, which at my height starts at 158, so probably the low 150s would be optimal for me.

Height 5' 7"   High Wt 268 / Consult Wt 246 / Surgery Wt 241 / Goal Wt 150 / Happy place 135-137 / Current Wt 143
Tracker starts at consult weight

I started with a weight I thought I could maintain based on past dieting attempts. Then I figured out WLS isn't like dieting. So then I set my goal to be the top of the normal BMI range and figured once I got there I'd have a better idea of where I wanted to end up.
