I have begun the process for TKA .
My GFR (kidney function) is 47. Is this a show stopper?
My other blood labs are ok.

My PCP says ok. My surgeon has not responded yet.
Can't walk much. Pain too great. Maybe I will hear something tomorrow.
I am not sure and agree check with your surgeon, but I wanted to wish you luck. It's terrible to be in pain 24/7

The surgeons nurse said grr 47 is not a showstopper. I am scheduled for surgery next month. A total knee replacement with navigation .
Great to hear! Good luck on the surgery. I have to have both knees replaced eventually. So I'll be there myself in the next couple of years
