Interesting .. I knew she recently had V.S.G., but didn't know several years earlier she had another type of WLS .. The article calls that one "Gastric Bypass", which would seem to indicate RNY, but then it goes on to say she decided to have "the band removed" later on. So then either it was actually LAP-band or the archaic V.B.G. (Vertical Banded Gastroplasty) .. ?

It wasn't Kelly who had the bypass and lap-band it was her mom Sharon. Sharon had the bypass in 1999 and then she had the lap-band done, but it ended up causing her issues like it has to most who got it and she had it removed. Kelly has only ever had the sleeve done.

Wow .. Confusing .. Looks like the family has experienced 3 of the 4 major WLS procedures now .. Thanks for clearing that up!

I dont think Sharon got the Gastric Bypass. She only got the band.
