NSV..... That moment when you realize....

That everything you are wearing is from the "regular" size store not the plus-sized store.

Freaky.

Awesome.

And for the first time I didn't follow up the thought with the "ugh still have so much more work to do." thought.

I literally created a divorce from lane Bryant and the like as soon as I could shop in "normal" stores. Fitting in regular non-plus size clothes is the best feeling and gives me a lot of confidence to go in the world. The fact that clothes are so much friggen cheaper than plus size clothes is just icing on the cake

Awesome NSV!! I remember being so overwhelmed when I started shopping in regular sized stores. I was used to only having 2 options in my town. Having so many options gave me panic attacks for a long time

That is awesome... I still have to tell myself sometimes...there will be another sale or another great dress if this one isn't right. Shopping in Plus size so many times took things I didn't like just because they fit.

I have that conversation all the time still. If I don't love it as it is, I don't need to buy it. It's soooo nice to be able to be "picky " about clothes now.

I was SSMO; catalogs were my only source for clothes.  When I phoned to discontinue receiving catalogs, I thanked them profusely for years of service.  My first post-op experience was in a plus-size section leaving without any purchases because looking at myself in a dressing room three-way mirror was too traumatic. Today, I own belts, pants with zippers, high heels and cherish every moment of my freedom.

"Freedom" is a great word to describe it!
