How much are you able to eat at 18 months or more out

Hi Everyone,

Just a simple question, but I am really curious. How much is everyone able to eat after 18 or more months out.

I just downed a 6inch wheat teryiki chicken from subway (with all the fixins). Just wondering if anyone else is able to down as much food.

I have some days when I eat like a horse, but others I am pretty normal.

Peace and Blessings to ALL

I'm 19 months out.  I started with a 5 ounce sleeve (so a tad on the larger side).  I feel like I can almost eat the same amount as I did pre-op.  For instance, I can often eat an entire fast food combo meal without drinking much of the drink.  Before I could eat an entire fast food meal, with the drink and maybe a smidge more.

Of course there are times when I can't quite eat as much, but that seems to be more rare.......

ETA:  I could easily eat a 6 inch sub and maybe some chips!

Thanks for your response....So it looks as if I am okay.

I am just wondering if I have strectched out anything.....or if I am right along with the amount of food intake like my other fellow Dsers.

I'm 14 months out and can eat a 6 in flatbread subway sandwich over a period of time. As far as a restaurant meal, I eat half and then a few hours later eat the other half.

How long did it take to eat that?

ok...I am like you with the 1/2 a meal still....but a few hours later??? I cant eat the remaining 1/2. I would rather, drink water or eat something else. Sometimes I have issues (mentally) with eating left overs....YUCK! LOL

Well, I can either drink or eat, I choose to eat!! lol. I should probably focus on hydrating more in the evenings.

It takes me about 30 mins sometimes...or less. Depends on how hungry I am.

I am only 15 months post-op and I am pretty much like you!

Some days I feel like I can eat everything, including the kitchen sink... other days I feel like I eat very normal... and some days I feel like I can hardly eat anything at all!!

If I am hungry, sometimes I could and sometime I couldn't down a 6" Subway sub!  It really depends on my mood and what exactly I am eating!  The previous poster is right now, though that I think about it... It usually takes me about an hour to an hour and a half to eat my meals!

Yeah...since I have had DS...Its basically a mood thing for me too. Sometimes I can cook dinner for the family, but I will end up eating something totally diffrent. Sometimes, I can eat leftovers, and other times I can't....

Oh, I am right there with you!!!  Sometimes something sounds well and sits good, other times it doesn't!  I am a huge "mood" eater when it comes to what I eat on a daily basis!!!
