My 1st Half Marathon this Sunday!

I'm running my first half on Sunday in Aptos CA. I hear that the course is tough. It's a trail run. I used Hal Higdon's training program so I feel like I'm ready. I have decided not to set a time goal since this won't be like running on flat ground.

Any race advice for a newbie RNYer?

Anyway, wish me luck!

Have fun!  There is nothing more miserable then doing something you dont like.  Go out, talk to other runners, find a pace group and relax.  Remember, its all about enjoying your accomplishments.

Take a deep breath, relax and enjoy yourself.

We expect a race report on Monday!

smile.  seriouisly, when you are starting to feel fatigued, try smiling, it will make you feel energized.  other than that, trust in your training and have fun.... don't forget to kick some ass.
Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

right now.  somewhere.  somebody is working harder than you.
