So, I innocently check facebook this morning, and a friend of mine who works for a charter school says she's got 2 entries to the Boston marathon donated to her school and does anyone want them?  She can't raffle or sell them.

I'm so not trained, but it's a legit entry into BOSTON!  Hope I can step it up a bit without hurting myself!  Cuz John and I are going 26.2 BIG TIME next month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 Wow.

I had no idea what a big deal it is to be accepted into the Boston Maraton until I just googled it.

That's awesome!  Have a great time!

Not only is it very difficult to get into it, but also, CRAZY EXPENSIVE!!!  Each bib is worth $700 in entry fees.  When you consider that people fly in from all over the world, stay in hotels, and MOST raise $1000s for a charity on top of it, it really is an amazing opportunity.

We are not being required to do any fundraising for the school that gave us the bibs, but OF COURSE we are planning on helping them out any way we can.  John and I both work in education, and we both are well aware of what a gift this is, so we are putting our heads together with the school's administration to come up with some campaign that makes sense for us to join them in.  I will defiitely be racing in their shirt for all of 2012!!
