they are good!  they are also one of the primary ingredients in "holy crap" and "skinny B" brand cereals that were featured on CBCs Dragon Den.  I buy them online and they ship from BC but I noticed them last week in Sobey's too.

If you're minding calories, be careful. 3 tbsp has 180 of them.

I discovered them in the spring and have been adding them to my yogurt on a daily basis.  I pick up a bag at Safeway for $9.99.

The only thing that bothers me is that they get stuck in between my teeth.

I have been making a homemade version of holy crap cereal with a mixture of hemp hearts, chia seeds and kasha. I soak 3 tables in 1/4 cup of milk and have with pouch of Quaker 100% instant oats. This may be too big of a portional for WLS peeps. I am trying a non surgical approach and find this keeps me feeling full for about 4 hrs. Has also helped with lowering my blood sugar too. Be careful with hemp hearts if you have any bleeding problems. I actually had to stop eating it this past wk in order to prepare for a colonoscopy. I come hear daily for inspiration, recipes and the what r u eating doing. I try to eat as if I had Bariatric surgery on in larger portions. Working slowly and feeling better. Tks for sharing. Deb

I dip fruit into the hemp heart like banana or apple. I also add it to yogurt or cottage cheese. I also add it to cereal etc. Hemp hearts are very good for you but high in calories. I don't care about the calories as much because the health benefits out weigh the calories in my opinion.
