Hospital stay

With less than a week away from my surgery in Guelph w/ Dr. Pereira-Hong, I was wondering how long was your stay in the hospital? I realize the general rule is 2-3 days, but I just wanted to confirm with others who have gone through it.

P.s. excited and nervous

Thanks Kari

Not sure about Guelf, but I could have gone home after 1 night, but opted to stay for the second to be sure I was OK.  I had 2 young kids at home, and was about an hour away from the hospital.

See you on the bench!

My surgery was first thing on a Tuesday morning. I was in for 2 nights.  Dr. Pereira-Hong released me around 1pm on Thursday.  I was ready to go home for sure, but all the nurses and staff were super. I had a great experience in Guelph...except for my squeaky bed. Hope you don't get that one!

I had Dr Pereira-Hong and she released me the next day at about 1pm.  I wasn't having any adverse reactions to the anesthetic, no pain and I was up walking, drinking and peeing. i was happy to not stay a second night but I guess it all depends on the individual and how ones body reacts to the surgery.

Good Luck!!!

Just had my surgery in Guelph on July 29 and I was discharged by 1:00pm on July 31. It all depends on how you are doing.
