Finally a date
I started may 2014. Hrrh lost my referral. Orientation oct 20 2014, first appt with dr Klein mar 18 2015, dietician, social worker and nurse April 20, dr glazer August 4, dr Klein sept 21 (cancelled 3 X) surgery date November 18. Less than 2 months for surgery but over 1 yr for the process
where are you at?
Wow your process sounds sooo much like mine it isn't funny!!! My referral went in in May, they claimed they sent me out TWO packages.. never got any of them (nor did my family dr. even though they apparently sent it to them too!!).... Got my orientation for September 2014 and then dates as listed in my signature.. got my surgery for Sept 1st....
I am so glad that I had it done.. I'm 29.3lbs lighter today than I was when I started Opti fast on August 19th... it took me about 15-16 months from my referral to surgery, but that time gave me the time I needed to process everything and be prepared... It was hard doing the 4 weeks (opti included) of really only being able to "Drink" things... but now that I'm finally on minced foods, I am starting to enjoy eating again.. as long as I don't eat too fast... if that happens.. I'm one sick puppy!!!
The next few months will FLY BY.. I scheduled my surgery on June 1st.. so waiting the 90 days initially seemed like forever, but man did this summer fly by.... good luck... Keep in touch!!!

Thanks for the encouragement. I was really down when I kept having my appointment with Dr. Klein cancelled. Now that I have the date, I am feeling good. I was really active and when I tore my ACL in 2005 my weight kept going up and up. As I got bigger I was more self conscious and did not want to work out in front of people. I want off this roller coaster. I started taking my dogs for walks in the morning (ok at 6 am no one is up) and at 7:30 am night. Love to keep in touch!
