So I have been crushing up my pre-natal multivitamin and taking it with applesauce.. but it is HORRIBLE... Turns my applesauce brown, if I don't eat it fast enough... anyone have any chewable multivitamins that they take.. I can only find the Gummy Ones and was told that they aren't as good as they don't have enough stuff in them... any ideas??

I am 3 weeks pre-op and trying to keep my vitamins in check..

I crush them and put it in my premier protein drink!!! I did the applesauce to and it was disgusting then tried it in tomatoe juice also it covered the taste of the vitamin !!!

Costco has a chewable multi vitamin.  In the beginning I just used a pill cutter and cut them in half to take them with water.  I buy the pre natal ones Kirkland brand I think at Costco.  Cheapest and good values especially iron.

I currently have the kirkland brand from Costco for the pre-natal ones and would like to use up the whole bottle.. it's only like a 1/3rd empty... If I can break them in half and take it like that, I would prefer that over crushing them.. it's HORRID

I never crushed one pill!  I bought a pill cutter at the drug store.  Worked quite well and wasn't expensive.  I think I started swallowing pills whole shortly after my pureed stage.  Good luck!

I accidentally took a Tylenol Cold Capsule (well two of them) Tuesday Night without even thinking.. they were basically the same size of the pre-natal vitamin.. I didn't have any problems...

I have been taking the Kirkland brand multis whole since about two months out (I was taking a different pre-natal multi from my three week visit until the bottle ran out ).  Just had my six-month labs and everything was normal or better.  I find these ones a good size and haven't had any issue with them sticking in my pouch.

You can order chewable multivitamins on line.  Bariatric Advantage and Celabrate are a couple sites.  Someone may have other places to look.

I was told you could swallow pills whole if they are smaller than the tip of your baby finger.  What about trying to split your current vitamins and take them one piece at a time?  I tried crushing at first, and couldn't find anything to mask the taste.
