TWH Patients, a question!
Hi all!
Just a quick question! Next Tuesday (November 17th), marks my (hopefully) last pre-op appointment. I'll be seeing the dietitian. After that, I'll be sent to rounds. My question is, what is the typical wait time before a surgeon's consult is scheduled, once your file is sent to rounds? I know I'll be sitting by my phone anxiously.

Hi there! Once your last appointment takes place, your file will be sent to rounds on the first Thursday following it, I guess it should be the 19th. From there, I waited another week for a surgeon consult date call and it was scheduled for 3 weeks later. BTW, I believe you mentioned you live in the Durham region. I'm in Oshawa :)

My last appointment was at TWH on Aug 19th. Went to rounds the 20th. I got a call on the 20th with my Surgeon appointment for Sept 11th!
I was flying overseas on Aug 20th. The psychologist knew that so I'm not sure if they called before I left in order to ensure I had the information. it was nice though to have it so quickly.
Surgery is Tuesday, Nov 17th.
