Ok....if you over saturate a pregnancy test (like pee on it too much), will that make it possible to see the second blue line if you hold the test "just so"?  Or if you see the blue line AT ALL, regardless of the angle or strain of your eyes is it a BFP??

Just as an FYI, most blue line tests are not reliable -- especially Walmart Equate Brand or those that look like them.  They give lines 90% of the time.

Peeing too much on the stick should have nothing to do with seeing the 2nd line. It is looking for hormones that bind to a chemical on that part of the stick which has a reaction making the blue show up. Normal non pregnant urine does not have the hormone to make the reaction happen. So you can pee on it til the cows come home and not see a change.

As far as hospitals are concerned with reading preg screens like the ones we use at home.. If there is a 2nd line No Matter How Faint it is considered a BFP. So if you see the faintest of lines consider it a BFP. A blood draw to get the HCG level is the best way to confirm though since it can pick up the hormone better than a pee stick (which can give many false negs).

hope that helps

Testing early helps to ensure that you get proper care for yourself and prenatal care for your baby, if applicable. In the event you get a positive result, contact your doctor as soon as possible to set up your first appointment. For more info about pregnancy test please visit http://motherhow.com/pregnancy-test/
