Recovering! Tips anyone?
I had surgery one week ago. Very slow start. I was in a lot of pain due to gas. Almost past out in the hospital from it. I have a low grade fever went in to do a CT scan no leak. Thank God! Dr. said it was due the major surgery. I was wipped out until yesterday Any suggestions to keep healthy and renuew my energy would be appreciated.
For me walking as much as i could helped heal quicker (this is only my experience and may not be for everyone) I started off slow just walking when ever i could within a week i was out in the park walking a mile at a time, that seemed to help me increase my energy and heal It may have all been in my head because my Dr drilled that into it by saying "i want you to walk as much as you can, the more you walk the better you'll feel" over and over again he would tell me every day
Time, liquids, protein & walking. I know we all say the same things, but my recover hadn't been too great either. I'm 2 weeks out and the first 7 days were torture. Then I woke up the day before my follow-up and felt soooo better. Was able to get liquids down and finally meet protein goals!
