Is Feramax a good type of iron?

Feramax absorption begins in the duodenum. Our duodenums have been bypassed, which means quite a bit of the absorption area is not available to this particular pill. Also, it says it is a polysaccharide iron, which is not one of the RNY recommended irons (heme or carbonyl).

I have taken the niferrex pill they are referring too and it worked well in my system before I had the surgery but since my RNY, it has not helped my iron levels at all.
