Got the call for surgery time

Ok, now I am all happy, sad, excited, and nervous all in one.  It is real now.  I check into hospital at 10am (cst) monday morning for my surgery.  The surgery is scheduled for 11:30am...... no backing down now!!!!!

Congrats!  It will be hard the first couple weeks... but you can do it! 

Make sure you walk around AS SOON as they tell you, you're allowed to get up.  Be careful walking around.  Just grab your IV pole and walk.  Gas might build up in your upper torso after surgery and walking will disperse the gas and get rid of the gas pain.

SIT UP to drink your fluids no matter how much discomfort you have.  Sitting up, or standing up while you drink will reduce swelling.. (worked for me)  

If you have discomfort in your chest, ask for an ice pack and put it between your boobs.  You'll feel soooo much better.

You can do it.  Its gonna be hard, and you'll have buyers remorse at first, but think of all the benefits.
