Beef Jerky Recipe Anyone?

 I was wondering if anyone has a good beef jerky recipe. My mom used to make it for me and my brothers as kids and I'm sure will still have the dehydration machine (or whatever it is called to make it).

I'm also wondering, if I make it myself, would it have less sodium than the packaged stuff from the store? 

I think this would make for a good snack every now and then.

I bought a dehaydrater for under $40 on Amazon and and have been making delicious beef jerky ever since. I use Kosher salt 1 tsp. per pound and I add SF jelly, SF BBQ sauce,pepper, red wine vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder and whichever other spices you like (I use curry, turmeric, cumin).
