I Need a diet to loose 25 lbs,i have gained them and i cant get them off,Help!!!!
i had my surgery in 2000 and i have been doing great,but now i have been diagnosed with copd,and fealing kinda yuckey,I have been staying right aroung110 to 120 and now i have shot up to 145,no change in my diet or exercise,will more proteine help or what? I dont want to gain any more! Help Linda

Did you get prescribed steroids for your COPD? If so, steroids can really pack on the pounds.
What kind of things are you eating?
Do you drink with your meals?
Are you able to do any movement/exercise with your COPD?

I agree it could be related to drugs for your COPD.

However, go back to basics.  100g of protein, 30g of carbs, no white carbs, 84 oz of fluid a day and see what happens.

My Mom has severe COPD and along with the necessary steroids, she also has a build up of fluid. Wonder if some of your gain would be water retention?
