Is this a complication of gallbladder surgery?

I had a lap gallbladder removal on monday. Most of the pain has subsided except I have pain and burning in my navel. Is this normal? ive been try a reach the surgeons office to no avail but will keep trying, i was just wondering just how normal this is.

It could be. I had pain for about two weeks after my gallbladder removal. It was hard to walk fully upright for me. Do you have an incision near your navel? I did--a big one considering it was lap.

I had a lap Cholecystectomy about 10 yrs ago and I do remember that my navel hurt too, and my incision was right at the top of it.... take it easy !!

I have 4 incisions. 3 on my right side and one inside my navel....thats the one thats causing the pain and burning. Seems like it might be normal but i'll keep checking with the dr anyway.

That's where they took it out!!  As long as it's not oozing gross stuff or hot and red, it's fine.  Just take it easy and don't lift or stretch too much.

My gallbladder was a harder recovery than my RNY. I only spent one night in the hospital with RNY but 4 (and they wanted to keep me longer) with my gallbladder. It hurt! Hope you feel better soon!
