check up today....labs are terrific!

Well I feel good and I feel like I look good.  Now I have confirmation that my innards actually ARE good.  Had a check up at my surgeon's office today and they say my labs all look great...and in fact my Vit. D level is among the highest they've seen.  Particularly good news, given that 6 months ago, it was low and I was prescribed extra Vit. D.  Note here to thank Kelly and others *****commended dry Vit. D rather than the oil soluble stuff prescribed.  Apparently it worked like a charm and I can reduce what I'm taking. 

I recently got worried about some hair thinning that was going on and sought advice here for that as well.  It seems its not vitamin or protein related, and the doctor says it's  probably still my body freaking out over the rapid changes....the hair loss doesn't always come right after surgery. 

So...all good news. I"m doing a happy dance!

Good for you for getting such good results.   What was your vitamin D level that it was the highest they had ever seen?   Anything over 100 is too high and anything over 200 is toxic - which means you will get similar symptoms to a deficiency.  

Very often people are counselled on here to take very high Vitamin D doses so your information could prove interesting to others if you are willing to post them ...

Doc didn't indicate it was so high it was problematic, and I think I remember him saying something like 70.  But I'll get the paperwork with the results in a few days and can post with that specifically.
