How long should you wait to have sex after gastric bypass??

I was told 3 weeks by a friend. Is this true because I just can't wait any longer!!

I will be calling my surgeon tomorrow but I was kinda needing the answer tonight. Lol

Surgeons usually say it's fine to have sex as soon as you feel up to it. However, the nurses prefer you wait until you leave the hospital.
