Lost 40lbs in 61 days... is that about right?
I lost 35 lbs in the first 60 days. Just follow your MD and nutrition plan to the letter and you will be fine!
don't forget to take your measurements cause there will be months when you don't lose pounds but inches.
Everyone is different so don't panic if someone loses more than you. This is your journey!
Best of luck
I haven't taken my measurements at all. I do have my clothes from when I was at my largest.I will say that Iam no longer assessed the Wal-Mart fat tax of $2.00 per clothing item. I just bought some42x29 jeans. I was in a 52x30 jean before.was wearing a 3x or 4x shirt, depending on the style and am now in XL. It is amazing how much smaller I have gotten so quickly.
My MD and nut really do not have me on a plan except I need an average of 60-80Gmsofprotein a day, and to get it Ineed to eat 3oz protein and 1 oz veggies per meal x 3 a day and 3 high protein snacks a day. I never ate so often before, so its hard to eat that much now. I asked my MD about rate of weight loss, and he said I should be losing between 1 and 5lbs a week, so I am doing just fine. That didn't seem like a very narrowed down answer, so I wanted to see what the real world of OH people are doing or have done.
There is no 'right' amount. I think 40lbs in 2 months sounds great. I don't know if there is a correlation between weight loss after surgery and what you did before...

Well, it's been a few months and now I'm down 82 lbs since surgery for a total loss now of 122 lbs. I weighed in at 202 this morning. Only 12lbs until goal. I recently had to buy new clothes again. My pants are 36/29s and my shirts are large or xl. The funny thing is that I had to buy new shoes too. i no longer wear a size 9, I had to get an 8. Fat feet I guess. LOL!
Great job!
I've noticed the feet think also. Who would've thought? I've went from wide widths to normal.
