Does this mean "I'm full?

I am one month out today from my rny - yay!  I think I read on an earlier post that someone said that when they are eating and have hit their limit, they burp and their nose runs. I am just noticing that is happening to me!  Am I crazy, or does that really happen to others? It is really kind of funny and helpful!

I've read a lot about the nose running. Early on I would burp, but to see if I could burp. Not being able to burp told me I had no air (space) in my tummy to be able produce a burp, so i took that as a full signal.

I am 6 years post op, and in the early days, when I became full, yes,  my nose would run.  I think that effect lasted for about 1 year.  For me full happened instantly - with the next bite.  So, if my nose began running I knew that "full" feeling would come quickly.

At one month I ate the quantity allowed by my bariatric eating plan.  Do not exceed that limit based on what you "feel".  If you ate 1/4 cup or whatever you are allowed, then STOP.

If you get physical symptoms -  nose running, nausea, etc.  then STOP even if you have not eaten the allowed amount.

You will be surprised how your body, pouch, digestion will change from month to month - even at 6+ years after RNY - my pouch is still in control and I often have to stop eating before my allotted amount.

Keep to your plan.  Protein first every meal (and snack if allowed on your plan) then veggies and fruit.  It is how we eat for life.

Yes, those are signs.  If my nose starts running, I know I've taken one too many bites.

The vagus nerve runs from the abdomen to the brain.  It sends hunger signals to the brain.  After surgery the nerve sends full signals like runny nose and sneezing.

Burps, hiccups, nose running have all happened. I still get the nose running and I am almost 18 months out.

I don't get any of that. I weigh and measure and if I am full before I am finished I stop.

Mine is a sneeze. All these years I've learned to listen to my body or I will be very sorry.
